Personal statement
Jay Bequette is admitted to practice before numerous state and federal courts throughout the United States. With 22 years of experience as a trial attorney, Jay has tried over 60 jury trials to verdict in federal and state courts throughout the country. He has tried hundreds of bench trials to verdict and successfully negotiated millions of dollars in settlements. His diverse legal experience continues with—
- Arguing over 20 appeals in federal appeals courts, state supreme court, and court of appeals
- Have represented parties in numerous arbitrations and mediations before various tribunals
- Filing briefs before the United States Supreme Court
- Represented two defendants in the Whitewater investigation conducted by Judge Kenneth Starr during the Clinton presidency
When out of the office, Jay enjoys golf, weightlifting, and fly-fishing. He has been married to his wife Cindy since 1987 and has three sons (Jake, Sam, and Joe) ages 20, 18, and 16.
